Regional Championship Qualifications Through the NRG Series
The NRG Series is very excited to announce our additional support for Regional Championship Qualifications in 2023! Beginning in March, each event weekend will offer up to NINE RC invites!!
How To Win An RC Invite
Just like last year, the 2023 NRG Series events will award an invite to the Finalists of our Saturday $10k event* (2 invites) and an invite to the winner of our Sunday $5k event (1 invite)**.
Beginning this year, we will be hosting ReCQ events! These will be 5-round single elimination events that award an invite to all players with a 5-0 record. We will run one ReCQ per day, generally starting after round 4 of the main events.
- ReCQs require at least 17 players to launch and cap at 96 players.
- Entry cost: $25***
- Formats: event will match the format of the Trial (Main event) per day, unless the main event is Legacy, then the format will be Limited.
- Full attendance will yield 3 players with 5-0 records. Standard RCQ winner prizing is included, such as Top 8 promos, winner promo, and DreamHack badge.

How To Earn NRG Series Points
At 2023 NRG Series weekends, look for events each day that will award leaderboard points. Top points holders will earn an invite to the $25,000 Championship at the end of the year!
- Main Events – Performing well in each day’s Trial/Showdown is the best way to maximize your leaderboard points earned during the weekend. Full points structure can be found on our announcement article here. In addition to earning points, the winner of Saturday’s Showdown will earn a direct invitation to the year-end, $25,000 Championship! Note that qualified players will still earn points toward our Series MVP!
- Bounce Backs – All players are welcome to participate in this side event at a chance for additional points, typically offered after round 6 of the Main Events. These events offer up to 5 Series Points and may have variable offerings depending on each event weekend. Review our sides page for a full breakdown of each event.
