The NRG Series is back in 2025, powered by Ultimate Guard, with $175,000 in cash prizes, a streamlined qualification structure, more side events, and live coverage you know and love. Season 2 continues the best of season 1 and expands into new ways for you to command and control your mini-con experience.

The winners of every Showdown will earn a direct invitation to compete at the 2025 NRG Series Championship. Leaderboard points will also be distributed to all players to award at-large players for the Championship. Additionally, cash prizes are awarded to the top finishers.  Here are the breakdowns for the different type of events.

Thanks to our friends at Wizards of the Coast and SCG, the NRG Series is recognized as a Destination Series. Therefore, we are proud to offer Regional Championship invites to top finishers at our events. The top 4 players of each $10,000 Showdown and the top 2 players of each $5,000 Trial will earn their invite and set out on the path to the Pro Tour. Note that players already qualified for the RC are still permitted to play in these events. More information about upcoming Regional Championships can be found here.

2025 NRG Championship

24 of the best players on the NRG Series will compete for $35,000 in cash prizes and an invite to the 2026 Championship for 1st Place. Here’s the complete list of ways you can qualify for the 2025 NRG Series Championship:

  • (8) $10,000 individual Showdown winners
  • (6) 2 – $10,000 team Showdown winners (all 3 members qualify)
  • (3) Season One leaderboard: Top 3 at-large
  • (3) Season Two leaderboard: Top 3 at-large
  • (3) Overall leaderboard (S1 + S2): Top 3 at-large
  • (1) 2024 NRG Series Champion.

Side Events & Coverage

The NRG Series continues to expand side event offerings, from RCQs and constructed events to Commander pods and Mystery boosters. Plus, an ever-expanding prize wall so that you win what matters most to you.
