2024 NRG Series Announcement
This year marks the 9th anniversary of the NRG Series. Because of your support everything is GROWING!! Check out the highlights for 2024:
- More events – You may attend 8 Series weekends in 2024 compared to 7 in 2023!
- More money – $165,000 in total prize money will be given out throughout the year!
- More Championship Competitors – 24 players will qualify for our end of the year Championship!
- Larger Championship Prize Pool – $35,000!! Our largest Championship prize pool to date.
- More ways to qualify – Double queue weekends, Showdown winners, Season point leaders, Team Showdown winners and of course at-large players!
- More Side Events – Side Events in 2023 saw the largest growth on the Series and we have no intention of stopping!

NRG Series Main Events
The 2024 NRG Series will see the return of seasons while continuing the popular feature from 2023: Win-and-Ins. Spike the Showdown and qualify for Champs!
A typical NRG Series weekend will feature a $10,000 Showdown on Saturday and a $5,000 Trial on Sunday. Throughout the year, we’ll host 8 weekends (16 total events) with 4 weekends per season. Four of the 8 Series weekends will be “double queue” weekends, which means the Saturday and Sunday Showdown events will both add players directly into Champs.

The Championship
The 2024 NRG Series Championship showcases 24 players in the largest Champs prize pool ever: $35,000 in cash prizes!
You can qualify for the 2024 NRG Series Championship in the following ways:
- (16) Win any NRG Series Showdown (10 individual events + 2 team events)
- (2) Be one of the two Season 1 (February-June) Point Leaders
- (2) Be one of the two Season 2 (August-November) Point Leaders
- (3) Be one of the 3 “At-Large” Point Leaders over the course of the year
- (1) Be the 2023 NRG Series Champion
Regional Championship Qualifications / Event Prize Breakdown
As a recognized Destination Series, Regional Championship qualifications will continue to be available at NRG Series events.
Already qualified, not a problem! Qualified players are permitted to play in NRG Series Showdowns and Trials.
All $10k Showdowns will grant two (2) Regional Championship qualifications to our finalist, except for $10k Team events which will grant three (3) qualifications, one (1) to each player on the winning team. All $5k Trials will grant one (1) Regional Championship qualification to our winner. ReCQ’s will grant up to three (3) Regional Championship qualifications based on attendance. Each player that goes 5-0 in this single elimination event will receive a qualification.
If you add it all up, that means a typical weekend can offer 9 total invites! Check out our event prize breakdown below for more information:

NRG Series Side Events
Find your fun in 2024 with something for every player at the Side Event Stage!
Starting in 2024, there will be explainer videos for the different side event offerings and special “Double Ticket” events where the payout is twice as nice.
2024 will be the “Year of Limited” with more limited play. Including some “Full Set” Rotisserie drafts. The “It’s a Secret” sealed event that includes a random “Secret Lair”. As well as those universes beyond and other draft experience sets from WotC.
